Girl Scout Tour – January 2023
The Girl Scouts of Pickens County toured the central Pickens County Recycling Center to earn their Recycling patch.
Night of Lights Parade – 2022 – Theme: The Grinch
The theme of the parade was The Grinch – so Kenny, our fearless leader, started thinking…. “Then he got an idea! An awful idea! The Grinch got a wonderful, awful idea!” And he knew he had all the Whos to make it happen….
The Recycling Center Whos constructed Who-ville completely from materials found at the recycling center! Check out their ingenuity and creativity! Also, we partnered with Keep Pickens Beautiful who provided the recycled-materials-ornaments that were made by students in Pickens County many years ago.
And so, thanks to his Whos, their creativity, and their hard work, the float was unique and original! “Maybe Christmas, He Thought … Doesn’t Come From A Store. Maybe Christmas, Perhaps … Means A Little Bit More!”
